Environmental Services
The City of Rolla Environmental Services Department consists of the Sanitation, Recycling, and Vehicle Maintenance divisions. The Sanitation Division is responsible for all regular municipal trash pick-up service, for both residential and commercial customers.

Curbside Recycling Discontinued
Although curbside recycling ended in April 2022, Rolla remains committed to supporting sustainable practices. Residents are encouraged to continue recycling by using the 24/7 drop-off recycling center located on Old Saint James Road.
The blue recycling bins previously used for curbside service are still City property, but residents are welcome to use them to transport recyclables to the center. If you’d prefer to return your bin, please contact the Environmental Services Department at waste@rollacity.gov

Items not collected during this event include appliances, tires, yard waste, brush and construction ⁄ demolition debris. Items should be placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. the day of the collection. Trash carts are NOT emptied during this special collection event.
