Please join us in congratulating Sergeant Nix and Detective Sergeant Switzer on their recent graduation from the Missouri Police Chiefs Command College!

They were among just 41 law enforcement professionals from across the state selected for the program’s 16th graduating class. Over the course of six months, both completed an intensive, academically based leadership program designed to strengthen their ability to lead modern law enforcement organizations and better serve their communities.

The program required a significant commitment, with each officer traveling to Jefferson City for one week each month—totaling 240 hours of advanced training. During this time, they focused on developing the leadership skills necessary to build strong organizational culture, enhance decision-making, and improve service delivery to the public.
Coursework included topics such as:

• Ethical leadership and accountability
• Organizational behavior and culture development
• Strategic planning and problem-solving
• Community-oriented policing and engagement
• Risk management and critical incident leadership
• Communication and conflict resolution

Their dedication to professional growth reflects a continued commitment to building a culture of excellence within our department—one that prioritizes service, trust, and strong relationships with the community we are proud to serve.

Congratulations, Sergeant Nix and Detective Sergeant Switzer, on this outstanding achievement!
